The dirt right under the fence is the dirt the pigs pushed up and the bottom wire is 12″ above the ground so that this dirt does not contact the fence wire.

Look at all the pig damage! This is a one mile long 2 wire pig fence. At the bottom of the photos is a Timeless fence system PVC H post, the others are T posts.
Another view of the 1 mile long 2 wire pig fence – look at all the pig damage, and yes, the damage stopped when we turned on the fence – and yes, it has enough power to stop the pigs for over a mile of fence because we match the size of the charger to the length of the fence.
